Comments:

I taught school for 26 years in the greater Kansas City area. I resigned and opened the first Public Relations Firm by an African American woman in the country and became a pioneer in many business fields. I have traveled all over the world and won many "first" awards and honors. represented all the women of the United States at the Economic Status of Women in Liberville, Africa. In the last 20 years I opened Pioneer Awards, a promotional products company.

School Story:

I never learned to cook on an electric stove. I burned some carrots in class and took al the broken glass and put in a bag which I accidental dropped and the instructor threatened to flunk me in the Foods class. In those days home economics black students were not allowed to cook. We just watched the white girls cook.
